SafeHabit Privacy Policy

1. User Consent

SafeHabit only operates after the user reads a disclosure screen and taps Agree & Continue. Protection is always visible so you know when support is active. The user can pause or remove protection at any time.

2. Information We Collect

SafeHabit collects limited signals required to provide protection you chose. We may collect:

Signals used for your chosen protection

• which app is in the foreground (for support during triggering moments)
• signals that you encountered something you chose to avoid (for gentle reminders)
• attempts to open sites you chose to block

Device information

• device identifier
• app version
• basic technical diagnostics

We do NOT collect:

• messages, photos, videos, contacts, passwords, personal files, or precise browsing content

3. Trusted supporter sharing (Optional)

Users may optionally add one trusted supporter. If enabled, the supporter receives only the weekly summaries the user has chosen to share. The user chooses the supporter and may remove them at any time. SafeHabit does not allow supporters to view live activity or control the device.

4. How We Use Information

We use collected data only to:

• honor the protection you chose (e.g. prevent access to sites you chose to avoid)
• offer gentle reminders during triggering moments
• send weekly summaries to a chosen trusted supporter (if enabled)
• improve reliability of protection features

We do not sell personal data.

5. Data Storage and Retention

Stored events are kept securely and automatically deleted after a retention period or when the user deletes their account. We retain only the minimum information necessary for app functionality.

6. User Controls

Users can at any time: pause protection, remove the trusted supporter, disable protection, and request deletion of their account.

7. Data Deletion Request

To request deletion of your data, email: support@safehabit.app. Your data will be permanently deleted within 7 days.

8. Security

We implement reasonable safeguards to protect stored information and prevent unauthorized access.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect improvements or legal requirements. The latest version will always be available on this page.
